From November 18 to 20, Daqo Group participated in Enlit Europe 2025 at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre in Spain, presenting its latest SF₆-free and digital distribution solutions designed to support Europe’s ongoing grid modernization. The exhibition gathered utilities, transmission and distribution operators, EPC contractors, and energy developers focused on decarbonization, resilience, and digital transformation.
At the event, Daqo showcased the DQS-24 Air (SF₆-free) gas-insulated ring main unit, S-Series 10 kV oil-immersed distribution transformers, SCB-Series 10 kV energy-efficient dry-type power transformers, along with a range of digital products and integrated system solutions. These offerings are internationally certified and ready for rapid deployment across utilities, data centers, energy storage projects, and industrial applications.

Responding to Europe’s Green Transition and Grid Resilience Challenges
Enlit Europe 2025 highlighted the industry’s strong focus on green transition and the development of resilient distribution networks. With rising renewable energy penetration and aging infrastructure, many European countries face urgent requirements to upgrade medium- and low-voltage distribution grids to higher safety, efficiency, and sustainability standards.
Digitalization was widely recognized as a key enabler, supporting remote visibility, intelligent control, predictive maintenance, and faster fault response. During the exhibition, Daqo held in-depth discussions with stakeholders from Greece, Portugal, Spain, Germany, France, and other countries. Key topics included alternatives to SF₆-based equipment, retrofitting solutions for legacy switchgear and transformers, and integrated prefabricated substations that help shorten project timelines and reduce interface complexity.

Integrated and Internationally Certified Distribution Solutions
Daqo Group presented a comprehensive approach built on internationally certified system solutions, proven engineering delivery, and localized adaptation services. Its portfolio covers SF₆-free medium-voltage switchgear, digital MV/LV distribution equipment, distribution transformers, busbar systems, and prefabricated modules and E-Houses, providing end-to-end solutions for grid hubs, data center medium-voltage systems, and grid connections for renewable energy and energy storage projects.
All products comply with IEC and IEEE standards and have obtained CE, ASTA, KEMA, UL, and other international certifications. Supported by project experience across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia, Daqo’s solutions offer high reliability, maintainability, and long-term operational efficiency. With a Frankfurt office and local teams in multiple European countries, the company provides full lifecycle support covering consulting, engineering design, factory prefabrication, on-site commissioning, and operation and maintenance training. This approach enables manufacturing lead times as short as four to six weeks while reducing construction risks and coordination complexity.
SF₆-Free RMUs, Digital Equipment, and High-Efficiency Transformers
The DQS Air gas-insulated RMU series attracted significant interest at the booth for its clean insulating medium, high reliability, and KEMA-certified type-test reports covering both load-breaker and circuit-breaker units. The series can be equipped with digital protection and monitoring modules, enabling remote control, condition monitoring, and fault location to improve network availability and reduce lifecycle operation and maintenance costs.
Daqo’s dry-type and oil-immersed transformers, independently designed and manufactured, deliver high efficiency, low noise, and strong overload capability, ensuring stable operation under demanding grid conditions. For complex applications, the company’s prefabricated substation solutions, pre-assembled and factory-tested, reduce on-site civil work and multi-party coordination. These solutions are particularly suitable for data center expansion, rapid energy storage grid connection, and distributed renewable integration.

Industry Feedback and Future Cooperation
Discussions during the event indicated growing industry emphasis on international certifications and digital capabilities. Kyriakos Maroulakos, Utilities Business Manager at Enerta Greece, noted that authoritative certifications are critical as the sector transitions to SF₆-free and digital switchgear, while demand for remotely controllable solutions continues to rise. Marcantonio Unida, Daqo Group’s Country Manager for Spain and Italy, added that Daqo’s integrated systems are designed to meet modern grid requirements and enhance resilience and operational efficiency.
Throughout the exhibition, Daqo’s technical team engaged visitors through live equipment demonstrations and representative project cases. Topics included legacy asset retrofits, digital protection and monitoring, project delivery organization, and risk control. Several potential projects in Southern and Western Europe reached clear cooperation intent, while discussions with technology partners laid the foundation for pilot projects and future large-scale deployment.

Supporting Europe’s Greener and Smarter Distribution Networks
Building on the technical exchanges and customer feedback from Enlit Europe 2025, Daqo Group will continue advancing the localized adaptation and engineering deployment of eco-friendly SF₆-free RMUs and digital distribution products across Europe. Through close collaboration with utilities, data center operators, and energy storage developers, supported by its Frankfurt office and multi-country local teams, Daqo aims to contribute to Europe’s transition toward greener, more reliable, and more efficient distribution networks.
