At Daqo Group, we’ve invested USD 9 million to build Nanjing’s first intelligent manufacturing workshop dedicated to transformer cores, achieving fully automated and interconnected smart production.
A Top-Level Designed Intelligent Factory
After 15 months of preliminary research, target design, and detailed planning, we completed the top-level design for our intelligent factory. This encompasses intelligent manufacturing, management, supply chain, and product services. Our project reorganized the original workshop, expanded the facility, and integrated advanced German GEORG robotic lines and Qianyuan intelligent storage systems, achieving intelligent production from material input to finished product via the MES system.
We introduced the world's most advanced intelligent production line from German GEORG in 2019. It achieves intelligent production from raw material to the finished iron core, ensuring higher quality stability. This innovation reduces transformer noise by 5 dB and no-load loss by 5% compared to traditional manual lamination.
Our automated stacking line utilizes positioning lamination and non-stacking yoke technology. Using high-quality CRGO silicon steel, it produces sheets with accurate size and minimal burr, greatly reducing no-load loss, current, and noise.
With the iron core as the mold, the coil is directly wrapped around the iron core column and tightened, effectively improving the transformer coil resistance to sudden short circuit ability.
The production line has the function of automatic switching between long and short films, and can meet the requirements of automatic production of radiators with film lengths ranging from 800 to 2000mm. The production line is intelligent through the Internet of Things module, which can monitor, record and chart analyze the operation data and quality data in real time during the production process.
The radiator adopts the coating method of immersion and spraying. The radiator first obtains good adhesion through silane treatment. The primer and intermediate coatings are painted by immersion, and the top coat is sprayed by a robot to ensure that the radiator sheet can obtain a uniform paint coating, ensuring the beauty and corrosion resistance.
We have deployed an integrated smart logistics infrastructure, including three automated AS/RS, two AGV systems, and an intelligent roller conveyor line. This setup establishes a fully internal smart supply chain, enabling automated material distribution and completely unmanned, intelligent logistics operations throughout the factory.By deeply integrating with our MES and SAP systems, we achieve seamless internal-external supply chain collaboration, resulting in an end-to-end highly automated and intelligent logistics ecosystem.
We have implemented a comprehensive smart warehousing ecosystem featuring automated raw material and coil AS/RS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems), seamlessly connected by an AGV-based distribution network. This integrated infrastructure enables fully automated, unmanned material handling and storage operations.By combining robust warehouse systems with IoT technology, and supported by professional WMS/WCS and customized MES platforms, we have created a highly intelligent logistics management system. This transformation has injected new vitality into Daqo's warehousing operations, significantly enhancing storage efficiency, reducing labor intensity, and accelerating our production cycles.
