Asia Pulp & Paper (APP), one of the world’s largest pulp and paper manufacturers,
began construction in 2022 of the world’s largest pulp production base on OKI Island, Indonesia. As APP’s flagship Belt and Road Initiative project, the facility covers
178,000 m² with a daily pulp output of 19,000 tons.
In September 2023, Daqosigned a contract with APP for 209 oil-immersed
transformers, totaling USD 12.93 million. All units were delivered by CFR terms in June 2024, with commissioning and operation completed by December 2024.
